Quick-Step Pristine Herringbone Vinyl Flooring 2.5mm PRODUCT RANGE COMPARISON
01 / THE RESEARCH

What makes these ranges different?

Quick-Step's two glue-down vinyl ranges share 2.5mm overall thickness, a 0.55mm wear layer, and a Class 33 commercial use classification in the current supplier data. Pristine uses short herringbone planks for decorative layouts; Fuse uses long straight planks for a traditional timber-floor look. Both are glue-down Vinyl, not floating Hybrid; substrate preparation matters enormously.

03 / OUR RESEARCH CONCLUSION

What we recommend comparing.

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS

Pristine is the option for a herringbone feature floor and smaller, patterned planks. Fuse suits buyers who prefer long, wide planks and a straighter installation. Since both have the same nominal thickness and wear-layer thickness, the key buying differences are appearance, set-out, installation labour and subfloor preparation, not a claimed durability gap.

BEST FOR

Pristine — herringbone layouts and decorative timber-look flooring. Fuse — long-plank look for living rooms, hallways and larger continuous spaces.

Series-by-series research notes

05 / SUITABILITY & INSTALLATION

The details that matter.

Warranty, moisture and everyday use

Pristine: 740 × 129mm herringbone planks, 48 planks / 4.582m² per box. Fuse: 1500 × 228.6mm straight planks, 12 planks / 4.115m² per box. Both: 2.5mm glued LVT, 0.55mm wear layer, Class 33 usage class, supplier-rated slip resistance in their product data. Australian Vinyl/Hybrid Warranty 05/2025 applies a 33-year residential and rental wear warranty, excluding surface mechanical damage such as scratches, chips and indentations. Water-resistant flooring still requires appropriate subfloor moisture management, adhesive choice, wet-area compliance and cleaning; material water resistance is not a waterproofing membrane.

Before installation

Glue-down LVT must be installed on a dry, clean, suitably level, professionally prepared substrate with supplier-approved adhesive and correct moisture control. Herringbone set-out can add installation complexity and labour relative to straight planks. In-slab heating compatibility requires adherence to the supplier's temperature and adhesive requirements. Confirm wet-area drainage and local waterproofing compliance independently of LVT water resistance.
