Premium Floors Nature’s Oak Herringbone Engineered Timber Flooring 14mm PRODUCT RANGE COMPARISON
01 / THE RESEARCH

What makes these ranges different?

Our Premium Floors collection has five Engineered Timber products: Nature's Oak standard and herringbone, Sidura 1-Strip, Sidura Herringbone and Sidura Herringbone Grande. The plank formats and joining methods differ, and Sidura 1-Strip thickness varies by finish (13mm Matt / 14mm Gloss), not solely by species. The manufacturer's Nature's Oak page describes 14mm standard plank boards, a 20-year wear warranty and lifetime structural warranty for that range; the separate Sidura supplier brochure states a 25-year residential warranty, but its structural terms should be read in the Sidura-specific warranty document before quoting.

03 / OUR RESEARCH CONCLUSION

What we recommend comparing.

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS

Choose Nature's Oak when seeking the supplier's genuine oak surface with a brushed finish; its standard planks offer a traditional layout, while Nature's Oak Herringbone uses tongue-and-groove glue-down installation. For an Australian native timber look, focus on Sidura 1-Strip versus its two Herringbone sizes; Grande 610 × 165mm gives a visibly larger herringbone module than 580 × 134mm.

BEST FOR

Standard plank: Nature's Oak or Sidura 1-Strip. Small-format herringbone: Sidura Herringbone (580 × 134mm). Larger-format herringbone: Sidura Herringbone Grande (610 × 165mm). Nature's Oak Herringbone: supplier-described tongue-and-groove patterned timber.

05 / SUITABILITY & INSTALLATION

The details that matter.

Warranty, moisture and everyday use

Unlike laminate, genuine engineered timber does not use the same AC-abrasion scale. Natural grain, coating, species and seasonal movement vary. Nature's Oak has supplier-reported 20-year wear and lifetime structural coverage; the July 2026 Sidura brochure confirms a 25-year residential warranty; structural warranty detail should be verified from its dedicated warranty PDF, not borrowed from Nature's Oak. No product in our current five has a verified water-resistance rating, so don't claim waterproofing. Both Sidura Herringbone formats require direct-stick installation; Sidura 1-Strip has Uniclic and may be floated or glued. The supplier's July 2026 brochure lists Sidura 1-Strip as 13mm Matt and 14mm Gloss. Herringbone designs may have substantial installation and substrate differences.

Before installation

Confirm product-specific fitting: Nature's Oak plank can be installed floating or glued down, whereas Nature's Oak Herringbone is supplier-described tongue-and-groove glue-down. Verify Sidura fitting instructions, subfloor flatness, adhesives, moisture limits, acclimatisation and expansion requirements before quoting.
Per the Premium Floors Sidura July 2026 brochure, 1-Strip uses Uniclic for floating or full glue-down, whereas Sidura Herringbone and Grande require glue-down direct-stick installation. Sidura 1-Strip Matt is 13mm, Gloss is 14mm; select the correct variant when quoting.
