• Standard Preference Classic 12.3mm (AC3) and Oakleaf 8mm (AC3) / 12mm (AC4): 20-year limited residential wear and 25-year limited structural warranty under the supplier's Classic & Oakleaf document. These standard ranges do NOT carry the 48/72-hour MR guarantee, and the supplier excludes wet-area installations from the standard laminate warranty.

• Oakleaf HD PLUS 8mm and 12mm (AC4): 48-hour moisture-resistance guarantee for normal interior household spills. The 2026 MR warranty gives 20 years residential wear and 25 years limited structural cover.

• Kronoswiss Aquastop 8mm and 12mm (AC5): 48-hour moisture-resistance guarantee; Aquastop Giant 14mm (AC5): 72-hour guarantee. The 2026 MR document specifies 20 years residential wear and 35 years limited structural cover.

• Aspect 12mm variants (AC4): 72-hour moisture-resistance guarantee, 20 years residential wear and 25 years structural warranty under the 2026 MR terms.

Wet-area use is NOT interchangeable across these groups: the 2026 MR document requires specific manufacturer-approved installation for any eligible wet area, whereas the Classic/Oakleaf standard warranty excludes wet-area use. In all cases the flooring is not a waterproofing membrane. Floods, leaks and unsuitable installation are not covered by a general household-spill resistance claim. Dry spills promptly.

AC class describes surface abrasion resistance, not walking noise or a full acoustic rating. Sound reduction requires a tested floor/underlay assembly and a sound subfloor.

Check subfloor flatness, residual moisture, correct underlay, expansion perimeter, door transitions and the named installation guide. Avoid assuming longer or thicker boards are quieter or more moisture-safe. In a wet-area project, review the supplier's limitations and Queensland/NCC requirements; floorcovering does not replace waterproofing.
